Stuckarbeiten
A piece of history!
Stucco (from Italian stucco: "piece", "bark", "coating") is a well formable, quick-hardening mass of plaster, limestone powder, sand and water (or glue). It can be easily shaped by hand or with models when wet and becomes very hard after drying. Because of these properties serve
Stucco work mainly for the production of decorations on ceilings and interior walls, but also on exterior facades.
Stucco decorations were already in the 2nd millennium BC. Known in ancient Egypt and Minoan Crete. In the Renaissance, the ancient stucco technique was first adopted in Italy, then in France and Germany. The stucco flourished in the Baroque period. From around 1750 construction activity generally declined. The number of stucco artists fell more and more.
In our company, however, an awareness of the traditional importance of plastering has been preserved, so that we are happy to provide you with our craft and art history knowledge for classic stucco work.
